My first "Trash the Dress" session with a beautiful, easygoing bride. Thanks, Julie!
A little background: When Julie first asked me to do a "Trash the Dress" photo session for her, I wasn't quite sure what to think...I wasn't sure what she meant. All I could think was, are you sure you really want to trash your wedding dress?
After a little research, I discovered that whether you refer to it as "Trash the Dress," "Rock the Frock" or even "Free to Flaunt," trashing the dress is not necessarily ruining a beautiful wedding dress. Sometimes yes, but this time, no. During our session, Julie's dress got slightly dirty, not much more than the wedding day itself (and nothing that can't be reversed by a regular cleaning). Trashing the Dress is both an opportunity for artistic expression from the bride and the photographer, full of personality and individuality. Plus, the bride gets to wear the dress again. C'mon, what bride doesn't want to wear their dress again?! :)
Her photo session was not only a wonderful day, but an creative way to look beautiful in the dress once again. What a fun experience! And, a special thank you to Jessica and Cinnamon for all their help.
Can't wait to "Trash the Dress" again with another bride! Enjoy my favorites below.
