Chase and Cinnamon, a Cairn Terrier and Australian Shepherd mix, have fun in the snow. Best friends and family. What a cool afternoon.

Contested

Below are photos I considered entering to the local photography show / contest. Allowed was a maximum of three; all framed and ready to hang.

I have to note this: when I dropped off my entries, I had a major case of humility and a punch to my self-esteem. The woman in charge stated that the previous year had over 300 photographs! While I was there a small number of people dropped off their entries, and just a glance at their beautiful photographs almost made me snatch mine back. I don't have a prayer in the world of catching someone's eye!

The most I can hope for is to sell one piece of work; I hope one of my pieces catches someone's eye.

Snow + Chowdah

In my mind, we've started the new year out perfectly. That being with not one, but two, significant snowfalls.

My two co-pilots (my significant other and my camera) and I took a snow hike. It was perfect; mostly because it ended in a day of chowdah/chili bread bowls at a tavern. I wholeheartedly believe that chowdah in a bread bowl is a staple that should be in everyone's diets. And since I lived in Boston for a span of time, I am quite qualified to use this spelling: "chowdah." :)

On another note, I'm entering a few photographs into a local competition. I'm hoping they will sell - and maybe cover the entrance fee! I'll post those in a week or so, as I have not yet decided which three to enter. I'm going with the ones most likely to sell... as in, "What would you want in your living room?"
